I was 9 that year. I have a lot of nostalgia from that year. I remember going to Kansas City for a national church convention, playing my Gamecube, Playing Pokemon Coliseum, watching Yours minds and ours in theaters, Getting a DS that Christmas, Watching John Cena win his first world champion against JBL, My nephew was born that year, I remember playing my first M-rated game (Def Jam Fight For NY), Listing to Gwen Stafni Holla back girl and other classic songs.

I was also 9 in 2005. I remember playing Pokémon Sapphire and Super Mario on my Gameboy SP, playing Pharaoh and The Great Art Race on the PC, reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as it had come out that July, watching England narrowly beat Austria while David Beckham got a red card, a residential trip with my class to Devon, as well as preparing to move to France the following year (as my dad had got a job there) and therefore learning to speak French, among other things. That year was peak 2000s and I'm definitely nostalgic for it.

That was a fun and exciting year for me. I remember going to Palm Springs for a weekend in spring (while listening to Gwen Stefani's CD in my car, along with Snoop Dogg's album). In summer I visited my family in Georgia and watched Batman Begins. A lot of other good movies came out that summer. I also went to Ensenada, Mexico for a weekend in July, but the peak of the year was when I went to Europe for the first time, and I visited 3 countries (France, Switzerland, Italy). After that things kind of went on a downhill slope, and you know how 2006 was for me.
2005 was the year I joined this forum, which makes it not seem that long ago especially when reading old threads from that time. It's also the year I joined MySpace (now that makes it seem long ago). I remember writing blogs about the special moments like I mentioned above.

I was 3 that year, and I agree, a lot has changed since then. CRT TVs were still everywhere and we were just starting to see the transition from CRT to LCD screens. Blu-ray wasn't even out yet. The DS was still very new and most people were still playing on Gameboy Advances. Great cartoons such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Ben 10 came out.

Here's something I said somewhere else on InThe00s.
"2005
I was just starting preschool this year. We had a GameCube and we still a Nintendo 64. The first game I saw was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I shoved pennies in the cartridge slot, and the Nintendo 64 was broken. I remember going to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. I also remember my little sister being born in October of this year.
Great games such as Kingdom Hearts 2 and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time came out this year."

Yeah it would because you were born. that year, but if you actually remember 2005 you'll relize how modern it feels compared to the early 2000s.https:www.google.com

2005 was the first year of my core childhood and also when I started primary school. In fact, the mid 2000s are starting to really feel old to me now.

Crazy Frog!! I used to love him when I was 4ish. I remember my sister would always call me whenever his music videos came on on MTV ;D. My brother downloaded his song "Axel F" on his old Motorolla phone for me.
Also, me and my brothers used to rent Zathura basically every weekend after it came out on dvd. And I had a lot of the games in the video on my PS2.
Tbh, I never realized how much of my childhood came from 2005.
