Subject: My teacher's early 2000s nostalgia
Written By: Wobo on 02/17/18 at 1:21 am
So last week my teacher who was born in 1991 was playing Linkin Park-In The End because we was reading a story and we had to write how the song resembled the story and she played another song also.
And In The End came out in 2001 and my teacher was 10 in 2001 so she probably got nostalgia from this.
What do you guys think?

Kind of weird to me. She was probably feeling nostalgic for sure.
Though, I'm more shocked by the fact that your teacher was born in 1991. I was born in 1997. Yikes, in six years I could be a teacher myself. :o

I once had a substitute teacher in history class that was born in 1990.
My gym teacher was born in late 1987.

What is scary to me is that the teacher I had on my first day, for my first class of secondary school was the same age I am now (22)

There's a Biology professor at my college who looks really young. No way she's over 35. She looks late 20's or early 30's.

It actually feels so weird to me that there are teachers born in 1991.... I still feel like teachers have to be born in the 1970s or before like as a rule. :o

Even teachers born in the '80s feels weird to me haha. My sister was born in 1988, and even though she is damn near 30 years old and can easily be a teacher, I can't picture it. I always see teachers as "old" like from my perspective when I was a kid. But back then old to me was teachers in their 20s and 30s. And now being 23 years old when I was a kid it was a long time ago but not long enough to feel like I can be a teacher now. The whole concept of time just freaks me out. ;D

Hang on a minute...
TEACHER? Born in 1991!?
:o
I remember when you couldn't get onto certain 18+ websites if your birthday was after 1985!
This is weird as heck...
I wanna go back in time.
2006-2010 ideally, but 2011, 12, heck, even 13 would do!
This is getting too weird :o

I would say teachers born in the 90's feel a lot more strange. There's been teachers born in the 80's teaching for well over a decade now. My 6th grade math teacher was born in 1980 and she started teaching in 2003 which was 4 years before I got to middle school. My Spanish II teacher was born in 1982 and she graduated from my same high school (she was C/O 2001).

I finished high school a few years ago where I had many teachers who were born in the 80’s and most of them were really SJW/hipsters, although I think teachers born in early 90’s will be even more SJW and feminist bc they are the core Millennials

Some time in junior high, the music teacher had a college student side-teacher who also had some early 2000s nostalgia. She played Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day for us, which was released in 2004.

In junior high (2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years) I had a male teacher born in 1982, he was pretty chill. He also taught my brother who was born in 1995.

My youngest teachers were born 1982 (for Grace 12 Biology and Exercise Science) and 1985 (for Grade 12 English). This was in 2009/2010. Disorienting to think the 1985 born was the same age/younger than I am now. Although I've been working full time myself since I was 23 so maybe I should stop feeling this way ;D
If I was in charge of a high school classroom NO ONE would take me seriously.

I remember back in 2001 when I was in my mom's womb and licking her placenta. Good times. Wish I could go back.

The youngest teacher that I had was my grade 9 religion teacher (he was born in 1990).
He wasn't really that easy of a guy at all, especially in my fourth marking period.

The youngest teacher I had was born in 1990 as well. I remember just last week a guy came into the class and just observed while our current teacher was teaching us because he wanted to be a history teacher. He was in the C/O 2015.

History can be an interesting topic. In fact, my dad almost minored in history.

My youngest teachers I have had throughout the school were 1981, 1984, 1985 (he was a sub) and 1986. The first one was there for all my high school career. The second one was there during my last 2 years of HS, but I only had him for senior year (and he was a freshman math teacher). The other two were my teachers in college and I had the last person as one of my professors at the very end of community college.

Girl! You nasty! ;) ;D

I never took a university class related to history (I'm a STEM kid), but I read tons of history books.
