Though it seems they lump the early 2010s in too.

It looks like they play songs from both the 2000s and 2010s, which would make it not so different from most regular throwback stations.

Like whenever I turn to 93.5 The Move in Toronto, it is usually late '90s to early-mid 2010s.

Absolute Radio was once called Virgin Radio and was owned by Richard Branson. Subsequently, own buy the British radio presenter Chris Evans, then was taken over by whichever company owns it now.

I find the music on it to modern for my liking.

I believe Pop 2K is a similar-type station on satellite radio stateside, though of course I'm not a big fan of '00s music. In North America, these are the basis of adult contemporary radio stations which feature a lot of songs from veteran pop artists who focus on the post-adolescent demo, and are a way sort of to the millennials to what the '80s-based classic hits stations (including Howard's link) are for Generation X, and is sort of the middle ground between Top 40/CHR and Classic Hits. Sure, Nu Metal/Backstreet Boys are quite a bit different from classic Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas, but I'm curious to the genre mix that's provided. Hip Hop/rap wasn't as popular in the UK in the '00s as it was in America, so I would imagine a more rhythmic, dance-leaning playlist in addition to some pop/rock?
