Eminem was popular through the entire decade, from the Marshall Mathers LP in 2000 to Relapse in 2009.  Britney Spears, despite becoming less popular in the mid-decade had a nice comeback in the late '00s so she was strong in both 2000 and 2009.

Facebook and Twitter integration with websites has replaced forums for the most part.  I still use forums because my political and religious views are so different from most people in my area that I don't want them to be known on social media.

That's the title of this thread... That's what makes it unique. We are looking for things that lasted the entire decade.

While it may have came out in 2001, it didn't really get popular until it was made available for Windows and with the launch of iTunes towards the middle of the decade.

Yes, I remember being on the 1st floor of a restaurant in 2006 in Turkey so we were up where the power lines were and I guess there was an overload so a few sparks came off the junction box of the utility pole.

There was a group of mid 20s ladies nearby and one of them said "Final Destination: Turkey" and then laughed.

That was most definitely a sign of the times.
