Subject: Early 2000's recession?
Written By: John Titor on 07/20/17 at 12:41 pm
I was a teen at the time, and it did not seem like we even have one?
Was anyone effected by this? There is reports saying this lasted until June 2003.
That seems crazy. Other than 9/11 and enron, what else happened ?

There was no early 2000s recession in Canada.

Yeah, it didn't seem like we had one despite the crash, and I don't remember my family being affected by it. I think it's because it was a mild recession compared to what would happen several years later down the road.

Yeah, the early '00s recession was rather mild. The main reason it's so forgotten today, though, is because of 9/11 happening during the early stages of it, and then the Great Recession coming just a few years later and completely overshadowing it. America was at war for most of the recession during 2002 and 2003 as well, which is yet another reason why it got overshadowed even as it was going on.
