Summer '01 was better

Haha I definitely remember constantly saying in my head "This video must be played everywhere" when watching Hot In Herre by Nelly on BET. The video has some high energy. I miss it.

It sure was for wrestling, The Rock came back as "Hollywood" Rock with a heel persona and challenged Brock and also Goldberg too.

Personal life wise? It was a mixed bag. We were going through tough times at home and money was tight. I also remember enjoying the summer hanging out with friends and walking the neighborhood, not doing anything in particular, but still having fun. Like checking out local garage sales and walking to get ice cream. And yes, the summer was hot. We went through something of a drought for a while.

Hell yeah, this was early 2000's culture at its peak!

2001 and 2002 were years I drew really offensive comics to pass my time, with my depression.

For me, by the middle of 2002, mainstream music was a suckfest. Although I do love Eminem's album that year.

Oh, I was still very little (9 years old), my memories from that summer are very kiddy ;D

I think Mario Sunshine came out the summer! I loved that game. I know for a fact I had difficulty putting down Smash Bros. Mêlée that summer. I remember Eminem was popular, but like I said I was still little, so I wasn't too into music yet (not until the next year). Avril Lavigne came out with Sk8er boi towards the end of the summer iirc. It blew me away!

I started taking up swimming that summer , and I was naturally talented at it, so my coach moved me up a few ranks. I was swimming with people who had been practising for years. I was a kid and everyone was older, they were hot in the changing room.  :-

Yeah, summer 2001 was more fun for me too, as well as summer 2003. I did some vacationing in 2002, but nowhere extravagant.  :-X

Summer 2002 is when I moved houses.  :o Yeah it was good. Summer of 2007 was my personal favourite ever though for personal reasons, not pop cultural.

I turned 3 in the Summer of 2002 and from what I can remember it was a very fun summer for me. Being a careless 3 year old and starting Pre-K was pure bliss. The music, TV shows, cartoons and some movies of that time give me a nostalgia bomb. I remember visiting the Caribbean with my mom and watching Nickelodeon at the hotel all the time ;D.

I only have one memory from Summer 2002 and it's just of watching TV. :P

One of the best summers! TV shows/cartoons, films, games, fashion, and the music! :D

By 2002, Beyonce became very popular!  ;)

This was the peak of Nick's silver age, before Viacom turned it into Endless Spongebob and iCarly Re-Run Channel in 2006/2007.

July 2002 was when I got my beginners license. My dad taught me how to drive behind the wheel of our 1993 Toyota Corolla. Sadly, I actually failed the test the first time and had to go back and retake it. That was so long ago that you still had to take a written driving test instead of doing it on the computer like you do today.

I went to Warped Tour 2002 that summer. The last year it was actually really good.
