When I was still younger, in 2000 and 2001, I use to race out of school everyday so I could watch TRL and then Toonami. Sometimes I'd watch 106 & Park once Toonami was over.
Starting around 2002 I was too busy hanging out after school to worry about watching anything.

I wasn't allowed to watch kid shows on school days (Mon-Thu) throughout my elementary school years unless it was educational. For me that be PBS Kids on some occasions. Fri, Sat, and some Sun I was free to watch anything I want to. On school breaks or holidays I was free to watch anything as well. There were weeknights when our whole family would watch reality shows like American Idol, The Amazing Race, Fear Factor, etc.

Man, I used to watch TV a lot after school during the 2000s. Although, it changed throughout my grade year because of how I grew up mostly. Here's some of what I watched back then.
Baby Looney Tunes
Wacky Races
Spongebob
Blue's Clues
Arthur
Cyberchase
Fairy Odd Parents

When I was a kid I used to sneak into the living room after my parents left and watch porn on Cinemax through the lines. That was how I learned the facts of life.

Man, you're so lucky. Back then, I usually watched Spongebob, Peep and the Big Wide World, Timothy Goes to School, Toddworld, Hip Hop Harry and Hi-5 (the two last being obscure shows from a block that I used to watch) before going to school.
AFTER SCHOOL
*Mainly PBS Kids shows such as Dragon Tales, Cyberchase, Maya & Miguel, Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Clifford Puppy Days, Between the Lions, Arthur, Curious George, WordWorld, Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, Bob the Builder, Teletubbies, Zoboomafoo, BoohBah (unfortunately :-(too many to list).
I used to watch most of those shows on PBS Kids after school as well when I was very little. It's too bad that I grew out of them when I was 7.
AT NIGHT
*Be sneaky and watch Adult Swim with shows such as Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, The Boondocks, The Venture Bros., Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Family Guy.
My parents let me watch Adult Swim (which made me lucky when I was a kid), while I watched shows like Robot Chicken, The Boondocks, Family Guy, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Good times.
When I was a kid I used to sneak into the living room after my parents left and watch porn on Cinemax through the lines. That was how I learned the facts of life.
I had HBO as a kid, but I barely snuck out at night and watching their adult programming. Although, I did remember watching a little bit of The Sopranos and Six Feet Under when I was 6. No joke.

Question for the '00s kids out there. Was the Fox Kids afternoon block still airing during the 2000's. 1999 was the last year I watched it regularly, so I'm not sure if it was still around by then or not.

Fox Kids ended on September 7, 2002...so the overwhelming majority of '00s kids didn't watch it growing up (I certainly didn't...heck, I didn't even know of it until 5 years ago).
'00s kids...we watched 4Kids TV (unfortunately :-[) and Kids' WB growing up (also, Jetix 8)).

That's kinda what I figured. Even by 1999 Fox Kids was starting to get killed by cable and the popularity of Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Sad, because Fox Kids was truly something special when it was at it's height during the mid '90s. Of course, '00s kids did have Toonami on afternoons up until 2004, and that was arguably the greatest kids block of all time, so you guys had things pretty good.

Yeah, Toonami was great back then.
Kids' WB and Jetix were awesome as well. 4Kids TV was bad with the exception of 2 shows (Sonic X & the 2003 TMNT series).

I know the Kids WB afternoon block ended in 2005, but by then the whole block was dying anyway.

I was not expecting to find this kind of post in this thread. ;D I wonder what Howard thinks.
For me in the early 2000s it was.
-Rugrats
-Spongebob
-Fairly Odd Parents
-Pokémon
-Digimon
I think Rugrats was swapped out for Yu-Gi-Oh at some point, and Digimon out for Beyblade. After those were over I'd go play, until 8PM when Dragon Ball Z came on.
As for the mid late 2000s it was more mixed, since I was watching more mature programming by then and the episodes were weekly rather than Monday to Thursday.

Futurepoke, what's the difference between YTV and Teletoon? Also, is Cartoon Network Canada different from Cartoon Network here in the States?

Teletoons is strictly cartoons. YTV has cartoons but also some sitcoms. In general you could say YTV's target audience includes teenagers too, while Teletoons is for children with its day programming but has Teletoons Detour/Teletoons at Night for adult cartoons.
I'm pretty sure Cartoon Network Canada and USA are the same. It's a premium channel so it doesn't have to follow a lot of the public broadcasting regulations that YTV or Teletoons does, like having a minimum percentage of Canadian content.
Edit: oh and YTV has a lot of cultural content too like music shows, game shows, educational programming etc.

Right! It stands for Youth TV, and it's the only kids/teen channel there is (except Teletoons and Treehouse (preschool/kindergarten shows)), so they crammed practically everything into there ;D

Alright gotcha.
For some reason, we had a lot of Canadian cartoons shown here in the US during the 1990s and 2000s (but most of them were good to awesome). Thanks for that! ;D

Here's a factoid for you. Back during the mid '90s WGN used to actually be a WB affiliate. They would show WB primetime programming during the week, as well as Kids WB afternoon block. Oddly, they would show Kids WB's Saturday morning block as well, but they would delay it to Sunday mornings.

Yeah, Saturday morning cartoons are done for. Even though it's understandable with the rise of cable and everything, it still kinda sucks. Too bad that pretty much anybody below the age of about 16 has no recollection of growing up with Saturday morning cartoons.

Cartoon Network was the main for me. Before school, to. Disney Channel sneaked in with how its been with comebacks like The Proud Family. Nick Jr. for Blues Clues. Then, FoxBox by 2002.
Cartoon Network became the last network standing, all the way until 08. Then.

It really lasted until 2006. True, in Late 2006 (no joking), it moved over to The CW, but that was a channel that nobody at the time had or cared about. The CW became more relevant around 2013, when it began producing superhero shows, but by that point Kids' WB was long gone.

Kids' WB's last 2 seasons were on CW from fall 2006-spring 2008, and Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh left the lineup after summer 2006, so I consider 2006 as the death of Kids' WB symbolically, even though the block wasn't replaced by CW4Kids until 2008.

Also, if you lived in the Atlanta area, Kids WB moved to Sunday mornings by the time it was on CW. I had church on Sundays so it was impossible for me to see the block by then. This continued on the rest of the time CW4Kids, Toonzai, and Vortexx were around. So for Atlantians Saturday morning blocks were dead by late 2006.

I agree. It remind me of a time where PBS Kids used to be cool watching, before they moved their older programming to PBS Kids Sprout around 2007. What sucked more is that they weren't aired on that channel since 2009/2010, aside from a few PBS affiliates airing them at some times. Creature Comforts was a British cartoon made by Aardman Animations (the same company who did Wallace and Gromit).

I loved any show that had animals as a kid, especially talking animals. So I guess my parents got me the DVD for that reason.

From 2002 to 2004, I was Toonami all the way.

Toonami, Kids WB, and PBS Kids were my jam from 2001-2004/5. I'd rush home from school everyday to try and watch these epic blocks 8).
All three blocks bring nothing but amazing nostalgic memories :D. Shows like Mr Rogers, Sesame Street (particularly the 90's/early 00's era of it), DBZ, Pokemon, YuGiOh, Arthur, Cyberchase, Jackie Chan Adventures, Zoom (almost nobody remembers this ???), etc.

This honestly brings back so many memories when I listen to the theme song. This show came out when I was starting Kindergarten, so I was the perfect age to watch it and have some good memories of it.
My Life As A Teenage Robot

I remember watching this show back in 2006-2008/9 and despite being only 4-7 at the time I still enjoyed watching it, and it made me think how things would be like when I became a teenager.
Lazy Town

This was my most favorite show back in 2006. I remember trying to do a split myself when Stephanie did it. ;D
iCarly
CHhoHycon1g
This show was poppin' when I was in Kindergarten-Second grade. I remember getting an iCarly Christmas present back in 2010 that records your voice and I did so many recordings of myself saying random stuff and talking to my imaginary friends. Sadly, I can't find it, but it would be great if I could so I can have an occasional blast from the past.

Kids Next Door
Danny Phantom
Jimmy Neutron
Kim Possible
Totally Spies (Had a small crush on Sam ;D)
Drake And Josh
Told By A Ginger
CatDog
Suite Life With Zack And Cody
Hey Arnold (Used to be my favorite actually)
I used to watch Zoey 101 with my sister (She was a huge fan)
Also they used to do reruns of Lizzie McGuire early in the morning a couple of years after it ended, so I used to like watching it too.
I also remember shows like Hannah Montana and That's So Raven, But they used to come on past my bedtime so I used to think they were "grown up" shows.

I watched all of those shows (I didn't really watch As Told By Ginger though) also. I watched some of them before I went to school and some of them after I came home from school.

This show was fire. I must admit, I had a crush on Jenny when I was younger (apparently a lot of people did).

Sonic Underground and Toonami. Then I moved to Japan and I dunno if you'd consider doramas and Doraemon afterschool shows.
