I turned 8 years old in 2007 and these games give me a nostalgia rush. I was old enough to play most of them but I didn't care, lol. 2007 was one of the best years of my life.

This was the year I became a semi-gamer since I began playing them less although I still play games today. Yeah, I can't believe those games are now a decade old. They definitely still seem recent. In fact, I played MW4 again last year for a second and it didn't look that dated at all although some of the elements were.

The thing with 2007 for me is that, as an old timer who grew up playing 8 bit and 16 bit platformers, this was around the time that I started to get less interested about gaming due to the surge of FPS games. I don't say that at all to take away from 2007, which is right there with 2001 and 2004 as the best overall '00s year for games, it's just that most of the games that came out this year weren't really my thing. Uncharted and Super Mario Galaxy automatically make it a top 10 gaming year for me, though.

I loved Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I remember my older brother was making fun of me because the only song I knew how to decently play on Guitar Hero was "Slow Ride"  :P

Same here! I could go on a long essay about it! What it brought brand new into the Mario universe at the time! The dreamy vibe of so many different galaxies! The speed run/sudden death comet levels. It was the 3D Mario game that appealed to both 2D fans and 3D fans.

It was also the year when I was introduced with Mario and Sonic, where I was hooked on both of those characters. Although, I didn't play a Mario game until a year after since I didn't get the Wii until the summer of 2008.
