This is based off the thread Slowpoke created in the 90s sub-forum. Considering that the 2000s are often talked about on the forums, I thought it would be a good idea if we shared three songs that we like from the decade.

Rules:
1) As the title suggests, please only recommend up to 3 songs per post.
2) Remember to only link the URL to the YouTube videos.

Here are three songs which I recommend:

With Arms Wide Open - Creed (2000) - Despite what some people suggest, I think it's a good song.  8)
Headstrong - Trapt (2002) - I'll never understand why this wasn't the official release of the song. It's so much better!

Here's my first three 2000's songs, by the way. I'm going to kick things off with my favorite '00s genre. Garage Rock Revival. 8)

Last Nite - The Strokes (2001) - The song that kickstarted the whole Garage Rock Revival, and the '00s Indie movement in general.
Can't Stand Me Now - The Libertines (2004) - Too bad The Libertines had such a short career. One of the great forgotten bands of the '00s.
Ball and Biscuit - The White Stripes (2003) - The actual best song off Elephant, not Seven Nation Army. ;)

The alternative rock band Lit is mostly known for their song "My Own Worst Enemy," but their 2001 album Atomic is pretty decent. Here are my three favorites:

Sorry for my criticism, but I personally believe that "Last Nite" is incredibly overrated, and to be honest, I think the song is very ordinary. The lead singer really isn't that good at singing and I believe the song sounds depressing. That's just my personal opinion, but I can understand why people do like the song.

The Strokes are not my favorite '00s Garage Rock group either. I prefer The White Stripes, The Hives, and several others. But that song was massive back in the day. What Smells Like Teen Spirit was to alternative rock in the '90s, that's what Last Nite was to indie rock in the '00s. It's importance can't be denied.

It's also important to remember the time period Last Nite came out in. In late 2001, a time where cheesy groups like Limp Bizkit and Creed ruled MTV, seeing a band that actually played guitars was kind of a revolution. Last Nite doesn't seem like much now, but it was a breath of fresh air in the Nu Metal and Post-Grunge dominated 2001.
