You use a flip-phone
You take pictures using a camera instead of a phone
You use real maps or you print maps from the internet instead of using GPS
You send SMS messages instead of using WhatsApp
These all apply to me! Can you think of any others?

Until 2014 these were true, but then I got the modern phone.
Though I love paper maps, I can look at them for hours :)

You still think cargo pants, baggy jeans, and anything with camo print are cool
You still wear Oakley sunglasses
You use MySpace
You consider Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, and Vanessa Carlton to still be relevant
You still think emo/scene fashion is cool
Fall Out Boy is still a rock bad in your eyes
You still listen to pop punk
You let your navel show (girls)
You still wear flared jeans
You wear fedoras unironically
You wear shirts with dragons or flames on them
You wear graphic tees
You still believe rap and hip hop are the dominant genres
You wear anything Abercrombie and Fitch
You wear anything with blatant logos on them (I.e. Element, Hurley, Volcom, vans, etc.)
You still think of Hot Topic as a store for goth kids
You still think Marilyn Manson-esque goth style is still relevant
You plug in your Phone/iPod to your computer to sync music when you can just stream it
You still use iTunes
You have a Blackberry or Motorola phone
You own something with rhinestones on it
You wear track suits as an outfit
You own something Ed Hardy
You're a guy and you have long-ish hair
I'd say about 70% of these apply to me
I could probably think of more but that's all I got for now

You still use YouTube.
I'm sorry, but YouTube is still highly relevant today. Its still the most convenient way to search videos anywhere. Snapchat isn't the only thing that's relevant today. Now, you still use Friendster would be a much better responses.
Other answers:
-You only buy physical media
-You don't have a tablet
-You still think Survivor, Big Brother, and the Apprentice are TV shows worth watching
-You bought a 50 Cent album
-You think the stock market is in deep trouble

I wore Oakley sunglasses from 1991 to 1992.
Shirts with blatant logos were worn in the early 90s also. Remember Skidz, B.U.M. Equipment, Duck Head, Big Dogs, Body Glove and Hypercolor?
Have you ever seen reruns of "Saved By The Bell"? Lisa Turtle wore jean jackets with rhinestones in them all of the time.
I can think back to when Jordan track suits were a hot commodity.
I knew plenty of guys who wore long hair back in 1992.
Do concert shirts count as graphic tees?

"You take pictures using a camera instead of a phone"
Depends on the purpose. A lot of people rather use DSLRs for serious photography.
"You still use YouTube."
You tube is a 00's and 10's thing. I think it's even more relevant today than it was back in 2006 or 2007.
In my opinions, signs you're stuck in the 00s are:
-You still use a CRT TV set
-You still have desktop computer (I do!)
-You still burn CDs or DVDs
-You prefer DVDs over BluRay
-You actually print your digital photos

'00s Youtube was quite a bit different than '10s Youtube.
In the '00s it was a way for teenagers and college students to share homemade videos of them doing drunk, stupid stuff. Today it is a way to make money or a way to get your art/music out to the world.

You're still playing PS2/Xbox/Gamecube
You still see Skunk hair on girls
You still see Armstrong bracelets
Paris Hilton is still relevant
You don't see people twerking
Your local coffee shop is 7-11, Dunkin Donuts or Yum-yum Donuts instead of Starbucks
Most people don't have short hair
You have broadband internet
Electro-pop music isn't mainstream
There's still baggy fashion
You see more kids playing outside
Nick has more variety and not just Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents.
Miley Cyrus was a teenage girl and playing Hannah Montana and not changing her appearances.
No Justin Bieber (Although he was famous in 2009)
No Economy crash
There have only been white presidents
It is still a half analog/half digital world
You don't hear school shootings/threats as much on the news
You still watch TV with cable and not with Netflix, Huluplus, or other TV apps

You're a girl and wear Ugg boots with a short skirt...and it's not winter.
You're a guy and think wide leg JNCO jeans are still cool.
Your selfies involve a mirror and show you holding your phone...even if it's a smartphone.
You think a Pontiac Aztec is a cool looking car.
You still own an MP3 player that takes batteries and has a USB plug.
You prefer online journals to social networks.
You prefer skate shoes for sneakers.
Your fashion jewelry never progressed beyond puka and hemp necklaces.
You still hang on to your old heavy TV and computer.
Your other jewelry is bling.
You think pink and green is a perfect color combination.
You'd rather talk on a desktop instant messenger than text on a phone.
You own a white belt and still wear it.
You don't think t-shirts are cool unless they boldly state where you bought them.
Your favorite songs are still ring tone rap or pop punk.

I can't use a GPS because it gets me all mixed up. With a Google Maps print out at least I can read the directions and look ahead for where I need to go.

2. My Dad recently bough a camera.
3. Only in dire situations. We have old maps of places we'd travelled back in the 00s and we still rely on them.

No, it's different. Twerking is just jiggling the fat in the butt while not moving the rest of the body. Booty popping is using the core the make powerful 'pop' movements with the body. I could show some videos, but the twerking vids would likely get me banned from this website...

Well XBOX 360 and even the XBOXOne are more for people who prefer platforming games, first person shooters, and sports games. While PS3/PS4 are more for people who prefer fighting genre, RPGS, and Third person shooters. For example if your anime type gamer get it for PS4, XBOX type gamers will most likely eat you alive of they see you playing that type of game. WiiU looks pretty freakin cool, however I heard that it appeals more towards casuals.

I don't need anymore games, one game is all I need now. I don't want to own a lot of games anymore cause I got tired of having a stack of them and playing one game and ignoring the others so it came down to just one game and that's all I have enough time for, I come home from a busy day at work, take my shower, use the computer and playing my wrestling game. That's my day in a nutshell.

An expression used when someone thinks highly of themselves. Ex: "He thinks he's all that and a bag of chips."

90's! I used to hear that in grade school, along with "Psych!" and "Holy schnikes!" Not vocabulary I personally used, but that's what was in.
I almost never hear people say "NOT!" anymore either, but i feel like it was still somewhat common in the early 00s.

"NOT!" and "Psych!" were annoying things to hear and really didn't make anything funny. Just dumb.

I still have long hair I plan to cut pretty soon.
I still wear clothes to where they aren't too big.
I still pretty much only listen to 2000s music.
My novel is a 2000s series set in the Earlier 2000s.
I stopped playing the Gamecube but I recently played my 64 and PS2.
I basically think about the 2000s at least once everyday.
Yup.

Same. I have 90s music on my Ipod from 94 and onwards. My 2000s music collection is till 2007.
If you played True Crime Streets of LA and still have a copy, the game makes you feel as if your still in 2003. The game carried that vide as bias as the may sound. When I play or watch TCSOLA gameplays, I'm instantly sent back in time. Especially if I play my ipod.

You use a flip-phone
You take pictures using a camera instead of a phone
You use real maps or you print maps from the internet instead of using GPS
You send SMS messages instead of using WhatsApp
These all apply to me! Can you think of any others?
The bottom one is the only thing I do because I don't like the look of myself. The only thing 2000s about me is my taste in music, fashion (not including the baggy jeans) and to an extent, video games. I like my video games 3D, open world and having lots of customisation.

Actually, a lot of those things don't apply to the 00s :P
For instance in 2005 I had a Sagem my-56 which had a 1 megapixel camera on it :) The phone I have now is more basic, although I did buy it for £13 including £10 credit whereas my Sagem cost me £50 back in the good old days! And GPS was available since the late 90s, by the 2000s they were well popular ;) Also, this thread is really sad :P

I actually still use it, but not as a homepage because it often takes a while to load. I have had an email account on there for over a decade. I primarily use it for job hunting because I don't want any email notifications to clog up my personal email account, which is on Gmail.

Man, the cheapest smartphones (that aren't Alcatel or some other obscure brand) are double that price :\'( , and the feature phones by Microsoft have something called Symbian S30+, which doesn't run Java games. There's also only two feature phones by Microsoft that support games that are downloaded outside its app store. There's Alcatel feature phones that can still run Java games, but I worry about what Java games will look like in the future considering the popularity of Android (which despite being written in Java Android makes use of its own runtime environment and the OS is mostly on smartphones so will have different controls to feature phones) and iOS these days, and I'm not sure how long feature phones will even persist, because I can't seem to access the Feature Phones section of Alcatel's commercial website.
Before Android and iOS, platformers and isos were somewhat rare probably because in the 2000s, 3D gaming was beginning to massively evolve from previous decades to become more sophisticated looking and hence was trendy then, but the nature of feature phones meant that games were rather limited in terms of their controls. Paradoxically, however, isos such as Clash of Clans (because unlike older games, you can simply drag and drop sprites around which used to only exist with PC and some console games) and scrollers such as Subway Surfers became more popular with Android and iOS, but partly because initially, specs were a bit limited for 3D games. Now they still stick to the same stupid formula since the iPhone and Android release.

Maybe. Some suit it; there's some men I can't imagine with long hair, particularly because their image and/or identity revolves around having short hair. Rap and hip hop artists come to mind, but some of them do wear their hair long.
Generally I prefer the wings haircut that was popular on guys in the 2000s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wings_(haircut), and longer: http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/175232497-an-emo-boy-with-red-stripes-dyed-into-his-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=GkZZ8bf5zL1ZiijUmxa7QQd5J7Nl2JC7NGNEH8iOomZTqdA4BuAGRKKtOelaogtd
I hate how in the 2010s the fact this hairstyle is no longer popular makes it seem like it's unacceptable to wear. It's also a decade that's more accepting of gender diversity, yet this trend appears to act against the interests of gender diversity (not counting Miley Cyrus and Rihanna). I wanted long hair for a while simply because I feel like I look ugly with short hair.

It was pretty big in the 90's but when I think of the trucker hat it's more 2003 to me since that's when Ashton Kutcher and his awful fashion took over... 8-P
I haven't change my look since 1995 which you could go either way with since 1995 styles stayed current until 2003/2004.
Signs you're stuck in 2000-2003:
- Your favorite rock band is either Pop Punk or Nu Metal both of which occasionally add rap into their songs.
- Every morning before you go out, you make sure your tips are frosty enough
- That nerd down the street might have broadband, OSX or XP but like normal people you're still on dial-up and 98
- You scavenge the world for free AOL discs
- You wanna talk to cute girls on IM but you're mom keeps hogging up the phone. She has a Nokia cell phone but "the phone bill is too high to use at home when we have a perfect good landline!"
- The only pants you wear are dickies. When you choose to wear the short variety, they're usually way to big to be considered shorts but way to small to be considered pants.
- Chain wallet. Always.
- You had a girlfriend but the Nu Metal kid who talks like Fred Durst stole her.
- iPod!? The hell is that? I got a Sony Discman for all my Good Charlotte CD's
- That girl has a poster of blink-182 on her wall? Asked her out right away.
- Got rejected. Wrote a sad song about it. Hope nobody notices it's an Adam's Song rip off.
- You hate rap music so you listen to rock radio. Problem is all these damn rock bands are rapping, too. How cares about OJ Simpson, anyway, Good Charlotte!?
- The PS2 just came out. You bought it but you still play your PS1 to be loyal to the mighty Playstation
- Every time you turn on your TV a Pepsi Blue Rap Metal commercial invades your screen
- You frequently buy Pepsi Blue and Surge at the 7-11
- An "Emo kid" is just a nerdy kid who really likes Weezer. So much that he dresses like Rivers.
I think this is a good list so far.

Extreme sports was more a big deal in the later nineties.
I think it's fair to say Xtreme Sports were pretty huge in 2000-2003. These were the Pro Skater days, after all. ;)

I remember monster trucks being popular in my city 1999/2000 but I didn't hear much about them after that.

I dunno about Monster Trucks (that's not even an Xtreme! sport :P) but I don't really think it was ever a big big thing. Maybe in the 80's-early 90s it kind of was but otherwise it's popularity's always seemed pretty moderate. Skateboarding/BMX'ing/X Games, on the other hand, were huge during 2000-2003. They were everywhere at the time which is what caused the whole Xtreme! trend.

Time to make X Games/BMX Biking/Skateboarding cool again. We'll get another Xtreme! trend going on.

My fashion is still mainly the early 00's style. I even wear a trucker hat sometimes. Haven't changed the way I look since 2002-2003. Although I do change into something that looks like it's from the late '00s sometimes.
I have bad news for you. I read on another website that trucker hats are making a comeback in the US... Because of that Donald Trump hat. You ain't the original.

I still use my car's CD player and the one in my computer. They still serve a purpose. Those portable ones weren't as convenient and skipped often.
Agreed totally. I also have a CD player at home that currently works just fine (it is part of a stereo unit that also has a tape player and a radio).

I don't have a CD player at all. Not even on my computer :o I guess I could play them in my parent's car, but it's not mine.

No way! It rules!
Have you used it lately?
Yes. I use it pretty much everyday. Recently I've been listening to my Operation Ivy Comp that I bought in the late 90's. 8)
