Subject: New York City Street Shots, 2006-2007

This is a montage of hip-hop fashion on the streets of New York City, circa 2006-2007. I remember a lot of these fads, e.g. hoodies, polo shirts, and gold chains. This remark is not going to get me a lot of fans, but it does look a little bit dated. :P

I remember at the time be shocked how modern the streets seemed at the time (compared to say the 1990s from what I saw on TV/film) when I lasted visited New York in 2006; I can't believe its already being labeled as "dated"! I don't miss the fashion and of course the music though. :\'(

It does look dated. According to some people, they have to love the pop culture in order to consider it dated ::)

Indeed. Haven't seen these in the city or surrounding areas this year. (I am from New York)
But it is certainly dated. Somebody dressing like this would not quite mesh with the crowd.

Somewhat dated, but not that noticeable. You could still walk around wearing that kind of clothes in most parts of urban America and no one would bat an eye (except for the snobby hipsters).
