Even though this song is lyrically depressing (discussing a breakup), it sounds really beautiful and has a nice melody to it.

"Back to Black" is a song by English recording artist Amy Winehouse. It was released by Island Records on 30 April 2007 as the third single from her second studio album of the same name (2006). The song was written by Winehouse and Mark Ronson and produced by Ronson. Winehouse's "Back to Black" was inspired by her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil who had left Winehouse for an ex-girlfriend. The single peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart in the United Kingdom and is Winehouse's third best-selling single in that country.

"Rule the World" is a song by English boy band Take That. It was recorded for the soundtrack of the film Stardust (2007), and then included on the deluxe edition of their fourth studio album Beautiful World (2006). It was released in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2007 via digital download and as a CD single the following day. The single peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and went on to become the group's second best selling single, shifting over 1,2 million units and being certified as 2x Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Also during the year, she had a big hit with "Rehab" in the States. (That one would go on to win Record Of The Year at the 50th Grammy Awards.)

I really liked the song Relax (Take It Easy) by the Lebanese-British singer Mika. It interpolates the 80s hit (I Just) Died In Your Arms by Cutting Crew which is what immediately drew me to the song. It peaked at #15 in Canada and #18 in the UK

Here is a one hit wonder from 2007 I also enjoyed. It's titled Young Folks by a Swedish group called Peter, Bjorn and John. It peaked at #13 in the UK and #33 in Canada, and while it never made the US Hot 100, it peaked at #19 on the US Dance chart

Here is Uninvited by a British house duo called Freemasons featuring British singer Bailey Tzuke. It is a cover of the 90s Alanis Morrissette song. I never cared for the original, but this cover just blew me away. They took a song I hated and turned it into a song I absolutely loved so much that it might have been my favourite song of 2007.

I think 2005 and 2006 were better years for music than 2007. T-Pain (Buy U A Drank, Bartender, Low), Rihanna (Umbrella, Shut Up And Drive, Please Don't Stop The Music), Kanye (Graduation album), and Chris Brown (Kiss Kiss, Wall to Wall) come to mind when I think of 2007.
You still had some bangers being put out by Timbaland/Justin/Nelly Furtado, but music wasn't sounding as diverse anymore as it did a few years back. In particular, rock started its slow descent.

I thought 2007 was better than 2006 for music, though not as good as 2005 as that year was tough to beat. I do like all those songs/albums you mentioned, plus Soulja Boy, and Sean Kingston was big that year and also Fergie. One of my favorite songs of that year was The Way I Are by Timbaland. There were some good rock songs as well like Cupid's Chokehold by Gym Class Heroes. Another style that comes to mind when I think of that year was indie pop like 1234 by Feist or New Soul by Yael Naim.

This song was everywhere that year. OneRepublic is one of the few pop/rock groups that got big in the mid-late 2000s (Maroon 5 aside) that's still somewhat relevant to this day.

... Rihanna (Umbrella; Shut Up And Drive; Don't Stop The Music)...
Those were decent IMO. Of course "Umbrella" has some rap vocals by Jay-Z at the start (which is why he's credited as a featured performer on it), but there is a mix without it, which I prefer.

Another Timbaland produced track and collabed with JT. This is actually the first time seeing the video, but I remember the first time hearing it on the radio with co-workers in a van. One mentioned it sounded like an old Nintendo game, like Castlevania. Unfortunately for 50 Cent his album was considered a flop, and past his peak compared with his "Candy Shop" or "In Da Club" days.

"5 Years Time", also known as "5 Years Time (Sun Sun Sun)", is the debut single by English folk rock band Noah and the Whale. It was originally released in 2007, but was later re-released on 4 August 2008 and became their first top-ten hit. The song did not chart upon its first release in 2007. After poor initial sales, the group chose to re-release the single, and the record made it onto the charts in a number of countries. In the UK, it debuted at number 24, and went on to become Noah and the Whale's first top-ten single, peaking at number 7. In Ireland, "5 Years Time" debuted at number 47 and peaked at number 10.
