2004 is more memorable to me than 2005. I turned thirteen that year, started junior high, and took a trip to Atlanta, Georgia, during that summer. Oh, and the presidential election that year is the first one that I remember clearly (I only have vague recollections of the 2000 election).

One thing I remember about 2004 was everyone was obsessed with low carb food that year. "low carb" is to 2004 is what "green" was to 2008.
Also Usher was really huge that year with his "Confessions" album.
Other songs I remember from 2004:

2004 was a boring and bland year for me. 2003 and 2005 were memorable but 2004 was just another year for me. Music was good though.

2004 was my "dark year" right at the beginning of it. Then late in the year things started to get better for me. It was a year when a lot of change had come my way. I turned 24 that year, so I was young and I had handled all the changes very well I must say. I would say 2004 was an ok year. Memorable? Sometimes.

I used to go out with this girl who had Down's Syndrome, her name was Annalee and Her And I went out for almost 5 years but I don't want to get much into detail with her but she broke up with me in October 2001 and I dated again in October 2004, her name was Robin, she had Asperger's. That's about all I can tell right now, The rest is too much to talk about.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel. 2004 was just a "meh" year to me for the most part. :-\\

2004 was one of my favorite years of the 2000's. It seemed like the year things started to return to "normal" after 9/11. It felt like a breath of fresh air after 2001-03, which was a depressing period in my life.

It just wasn't memorable to me. Not many significant things happened in my personal life. When I look back at 2004 the only thing that stands out is my birthday because I turned 13 that year. Compared to '05, summer '04 wasn't exciting. I also thought the music that year was good though. I remember buying Usher's Confessions album was and how popular that album was. And yes, I remember the election that year, but other than that 2004 just doesn't pop out to me like other years.

Personally, I remember 2004, the year I graduated high school and started college in the fall. I remember Chappelle's Show being huge (everyone I knew was doing the, "I'm Rick James B****") and The Boston Red Sox world series really stood out because My mid-term exam for Philosophy 101 was the next day and the essay was on what defines a miracle and I wrote the entire essay on the Red Sox winning. I got my first car and license that summer. Outside of the occasional rites of passage that year, not much really happened to me.

Even though it had a 90s feel to it, was a meh year for me, I kept getting grounded for stupid sheesh.

Did you place something in the wrong spot of the kitchen cabinet so your father had taco seasoning in his milk, since it was where the cereal was supposed to be? That's like the episode of South Park in which Butters would get grounded for that.
