Was 2007 the weirdest year of the 00's?

I wanna know what everyone's thoughts on this is. 2007 was like half  classic 2000's and half late 2000's
it had this weird middle feel.  The holdovers from 2006 continued  into early 2007 ( I will say March is the cut off date)
& then around May of 2007 it started getting this diffrent feel.  At the time i remember Windows Vista coming out and everyone
hating it. Macs were also getting bigger at this time.  The iphone was released as well. Facebook was just then starting to get big.
I dunno it just had this weird half classic half new thing going on the entire year. More like a transitional feel.

To answer the question though 2008 was the real transitional year (from old to new) not 2007. Music changed that year, Obama became president, etc.

IMO, I think 2005 at the time seemed like a weird (or more like unique) year. It was the year that finally broke completely free from the 90's leftovers. Though smartphones were not released yet, cell phones with video capability and also the next generation of iPods which played videos were released that year. It was also the rise of emo music and fashion.

I think 2007 was a terrible year for music.  ;D

I know 2007 was a fine year. I don't know why there's hatred towards it. The economy was not in rough shape like it was in 08' and 09' and music was still good. Probably the only problem for the U.S. would be Bush still being president but other than that, 2007 was a good year and I don't know what's the big deal.

I have no idea. I graduated from high school in 2007. It seemed like a decent year to me. I like several video games and movies released in 2007. It definitely does not strike me as this alien year completely different from the rest of the 2000's.  I don't understand his interest in it either. ???

That's a huge deal in Canada. 21 means nothing here as you are an adult and are legal at 18. I turn 18 next year so it should be a great year for me.  :D

Same goes for Germany. 18 means legal age and you are allowed to do nearly everything what all adults can do:

*drinking any kind of liqour/beer
*smoking
*driving
*voting

People under 21 however might still be treated like youths when it comes to legal judgement.

I turned eighteen in February of 2007.

It is a big deal in the states as you are seen as an adult and can now vote.

Twenty-one is the drinking age here though.
