I used to hate that time when I was living in it, but looking back I actually do enjoy it. There was still music that I listen to frequently, but it was 90s artists that were putting out new music like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nine Inch Nails. My favorite movie of all time in that era is a tie between Collateral and Green Street Holligans. I was in college in that time so it was basically the prime of my young life right there.

It's both for me. There were things to love and things to hate. Overall I thought it was kind of an obnoxious period for popular culture, for better or for worse. Also I was in middle school and going through puberty, which I definitely don't miss.

Especially in 2005, there was some nice music. But that's a matter of taste. A lot of my favorites from that year are dance tracks. There was a certain underlying feel in much dance music that year I like (on the minimal/tech house side, btw).
There was also a more free, creative vibe in the air compared to today, around 2004. I like a lot of the fashion and graphic design from around that year.

Hated that time for my educational life, but loved it for my overall social life. However I prefered 00-04.

LOVE IT! The Sims 2, Survivor: Pearl Islands, Survivor: Palau, The Amazing Race that Rob and Amber came 2nd on (I think), Coldplay was popular. Tokyo Drift was a good movie.
Could list other reasons, but yes, great time. 2004 was heaven compared to today.

Looking back at it now, I loved 2003 and enjoyed 2004. 2005 was alright for the most part. Wasn't really a fan of 2006.

Hahaha. ;D I remember watching that movie often when it came out on DVD years ago. Looking at it now, wasn't that great of a movie.

Personally, I think the best years pop culturally of the 2000s were 2000-05/06.

Green Day, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Usher, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Eminem, Good Charlotte, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Sum 41, Coldplay, blink-182, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas, Hawthrone Heights, OutKast, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Avril Lavigne, Lil Jon, Simple Plan, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, The White Stripes, Gwen Stefani, and Early Rihanna.
i mean i can go on all day.
The Video Games too were amazing ; i still play my PS2 and GameCube more often than my PS3 and XBOX 360.

Yeah that was Mase's comeback song as well as another hit that he had that year I think. Mase was huge in early to mid 1998 when he was Puff Daddy's sidekick artist basically.

I have that song on my iPod, in my 2004 playlist. I've never seen the video, which is odd because I watched a lot of BET back then. I like the Mister Rogers intro.
