2009 is the worst year of the 2000s as it is the year that Justin Bieber made his music debut  :-[

All these years were disappointing (except for 2000 and 2001 before 9/11, even though those years were not that great. But when choosing from 2000-2009 those were the best  ;D)  But I'm going for 2006 - 2007.  Personally it would be a different story, but I'm sure you don't care to hear about that.

I didn't think 2001 was that bad, in comparison to the rest of the 00's.

I think 2000 cause that's when Reality TV set in and everyone started watching.

The 00's pop culture was horrific then.  Also was the "core" of the 00's and Bush's second term.  But I also disliked 2003 - 2005 as well.

Anything past 2005 is pretty bad for me, but it's hard to pick just one year. I went with 2006, hard to think of too many good things from that year.

I'm gonna say 2003/2004 were lame years. With the exception of 2008 (which is almost so forgettable), everything else range from meh to decent.

I like the summer of '06, outside of that I agree it was bland.

I voted 2009. The economy was in the crapper, there was massive political turmoil, and everybody was convinced that the country was going in the wrong direction. Plus, music took a dark turn with electropop taking over.  :P

My personal life wasn't too bad that year. But culturally, the year is pretty much the worst of the 2000s imo.

I know you were asking another person this but for me I think '06 was overall bland because (outside of summer) nothing, IMO, interesting happened at the time and not to mention my great-grandmother passed away in late '06, I was close to her so it was kind of hard for me to deal with it.

Cause it was the Soccer World Championship in Germany that year and in summer 8) It was just a great time!  ;D

IDK, for me it was good because I discovered Youtube and that was before all the ads and copyright crap. I went to Art camp and I met a lot new friends and went to the beach with my family. 2007 wasn't bad but it start of pretty bad for but later it was aiight.

Wish I could change my pick to 2009. I had some bad personal moments in '06, but I forgot that I went to Portugal that summer (thought it was '07).

I didn't like the summer of '04 at all, actually I just didn't like 2004 altogether. The thought of Usher plaguing my radio and tv and white ts and jeans below your knees makes me cringe. I did like Kanye when he first came out though and Mario made a comeback.

The summer of '05 was good, I had no real issues at that time. 2007 wasn't much of an issues for me except the beginning of it. Now 2008 I can honestly say was so forgettable and so crappy, with the exception of Obama and me being a senior in HS, everything else is so forgettable.

The black sheep was either 2000 or 2009. Both were not really 00's and not really 90's or 10's respectively.

I went with 2005, mostly for video game related personal reasons. I made one of the single dumbest decisions of my life that year when I traded in the bulk of my video game collection to buy a PSP just after it's launch in April. Of course, the PSP was essentially a flop, and I've regretted what I did for the last 7 years. I also laid down $500 to buy an Xbox 360 that November (which malfunctioned shortly thereafter), and lost my part-time job just a few weeks later.

Still, I did graduate from high school that year, and I discovered the awesomeness of YouTube, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

Yeah that's what happened to me too! In 2006/2007, A classmate introduced it to me during class. At the time I thought it was nothing but one of those cheapo amateur sites people put up with dumb videos they make like FunnyJunk or something. Man was I ever wrong!  ;D

mine has just jamminoldies but most of the videos I have now most of them are deleted everytime you have 200 videos it starts deleting itself so you don't have 200 videos persay.

It was not. It was maybe a bit like '99, but not like the 90's as a whole.

For me, it was a toss-up between 2003 and 2006. Both were frustrating years in my personal life in which nothing seemed to go right for me. Overall, I voted 2006 since 2003 at least had better music. The only good thing I remember about 2006 was the release of the Wii and the PS3 right before Christmas.

picking one year is pretty hard. Pop culturally speaking 2005-2009 sucked IMO. But if i had to pick one it would be 2008 or 2009. I lost a lot of people during those years.
