Subject: How Would You Describe The Early 2000's?
Written By: Antwuan on 02/16/12 at 1:34 am
To me the early 2000's were very similar to the late 90's with a different mix I miss the early 2000's it was fun (2000-2002).
If you had to sum it all up how would you describe the early 2000's?

When it was 2001 it felt like another decade than the '90's. But now, considering we've lived 10 years of the 00's, it can be seen very transitional. While I for example have still used/did many '90's things in the early '00's (recording TV on VHS, bought movie VHS-cassettes, bought more music on CD than MP3s, used audio cassettes in some occasions, buying tickets on the counter/phone was more common than on-line, TV dominated by CRT (still use one today though)) ... I already did some stuff which is typical for today's society: I was around in on-line forums, chat via ICQ, sending mails, buying/selling on eBay, had my first digital camera in late 2001.

I would describe the early 2000s as a continuation of the late '90s, only skankier. ::)

Every start of a new decade is the continuation of the previous one ::).
