Subject: Looking for a specific kind of song

Hello all and nice to meet you! Call me whatever you want, Ark will probably be easiest. Anywho, small question: I remember from my younger days a very specific style of post-grunge or alternative rock being very popular on the radio (I'd put this around 2000-2002), that sounded a bit like the following contemporary number:

Yeah, yeah, that one's from 2010. But my point is songs that sounded like that were a dime a dozen back in the day, but I can't remember a single one of them for some reason, a total blank! HALP! (Okay, I remember Wasting My Time by Default, but that's it, someone please halp)
