^ That one was great. Can't say as I have heard of that band before, but I really liked that song.

My all-time favourite Rock Ballad of the 2000s is Daddy's Gone by Glasvegas. I've never put the music of today as first in all-time favourites, but the 2008 debut album by Glasvegas is the best album that I have ever heard.

Sonata Arctica are a power metal band from Finland, known for being one of the darker power metal bands. As for that Glasvegas song, pretty good, a little too pop-sounding for my tastes, though.

Creeder: That 3 Doors Down song is pretty good, a little too country-ish on the vocals, but that's just me.

80sfan: I'm not sure if I'd call that a ballad.... a little heavy and fast, but not a bad song.

Yeah I think I'd also consider "Here Without You" one of the big rock ballads of the 00s. They also had "Away From The Sun" and "Be Like That" although they weren't as big. There was also "One Thing" by Finger Eleven.

"The Reason" - Hoobastank (but that's more pop/rock)

Yes I have. My Husband is loki 13, if he is not listening to Emerson Lake and Palmer he is listening to Goth/Symphonic Metal.

Great Album...

I might be the minority, but I liked Audioslave a lot more than Soundgarden, though Soundgarden is awesome. I guess part it was just that I am a huge RATM fan and loved the background music.
