Shock and water resistant, 2MP camera. The light is the best feature. They don't make this one anymore.

a share in a nokia (no clue about the model), then a Sagem My X-2 (the only pay as you go that fitted in my bag easily) and now another Nokia.

2000: Sony phone which was basic and just made calls, then I got another one which was a Qualcomm QCP 860 which was my first that had very basic wireless data access.

Now I just got the Droid which is my first phone of the 2010s, best phone I have ever laid my hands on and the first one I think is really on the iPhones level or better. And with the Verizon network you have reliable internet everywhere. The thing is built like a tank, it's a solid slab of metal.

First cell phone in 2004: Nokia 3310.

Good solid rugged phone, but quickly became dated. (I still have it, used it for several months last summer after my RAZR bit the big one.)



Second phone, 2005: Samsung SGH-T209 (or similar)

Had this about 1 1/2 years, still worked fine but got scratched up really badly, plus I wanted a camera phone.



Third phone, 2007: Motorola V3 RAZR.

I liked this phone but ultimately it ended up being too fragile, I dropped it last summer and the screen crapped out on me. Since I was locked into a T-Mobile contract for several more months (and didn't want to renew it because I thought their service sucked), I had to resort to using my original Nokia which, by the summer of 2009, was such a fossil that it might as well have been made in 1964.



Fourth (and current) phone: Samsung Rogue.

After being stuck using my old Nokia for 5-6 months while waiting for my T-Mobile contract to expire, I switched over to Verizon (which is far superior) and got a Samsung Rogue.
I love this phone, and I can't help wonder what will replace it in the next few years.

After that one I had another Nokia variation when I moved to Phoenix.  A couple years later I switched to T-Mobile and had a Samsung flip phone similar to this:

Then I had a Motorola RAZR V2 and then switched to Verizon where I now have my LG enV3:

Here are the moblie phones I've owned over the years:


A Motorola Phone in 2000 (I can't remember its moldel number). I had it for Christmas when I was 13, even though I wanted a Nokia phone.
I've also had several Nokia phones (Again I can't remember all of their model numbers). One or two of them were damaged by moisture and one of them got stolen in 2005. I was eventually given a new one, but it died on me two years later and I had to recycle it.
My current mobile phone is a Nokia 6080. I bought it in 2007 to replace my 'dead' phone and it's the most sophisticated one I've had to date. It has a colour screen, a voice-recording function, a calendar, a camera and a radio along with other features. If I get an iPhone this year, I'll recycle theNokia 6080.
For my birthday this year, I want a 16GB iPhone 3GS on Orange. When the iPhone first came out in the UK, it was only available on O2 but now they're also available on Orange and Vodaphone. I have been an Orange customer since my very first phone.

Coincidentally, I seem to get LG phones. The last one had faulty programming in it so I got another LG mobile 6 months ago. As long as it does texting, calling and has a decent camera on it, I'm happy.

One phone everyone seems to want in America is the myTouch 3G Limited Edition Fender from T-Mobile.  They're still running commercials for it (with Eric Clapton), yet they are out of stock.  Marketing geniuses! lol

That's almost any phone circa 2001 LOL

The one I'm talking about could only be activated or used with a pre paid card and it didn't have the fancy features on it.
