For some strange reason, she always reminds me of one of my sisters-with a very dark tan.  ;) :D ;D ;D  I mention that to Carlos the other day and he said that he sees it, too. I think it is the eyes.

I like Oprah, but she is a little egocentric.  :D

But I do get the sense that she truly cares about the people she gives charity to.

She's simply gonna move her show to the new Oprah Network.  8)

no.... she said she was done. that in her heart she knew that this was a good time to go.

Personally I wouldn't mind if the Oprah Network aired all 25 seasons of Oprah. there are some shows I really want to see again and some that I never got a chance to see.

Honestly, watching a test pattern is more enjoyable than her show.  I've never been a fan, so I won't be sad to see her show go bye bye. 

I know there are many people who will be sad to see her go, and I can understand that (to each his/her own kind of thing), but one of those people definately is not me.

I'm sorry...I was never an Oprah Fan. I saw her show a few times, even one that I remember when she had Paul McCartney as a guest. (I'm a fan of Paul McCartney, though).

'S Okay, I'm not a big fan either.  It's just that when somebody becomes a daily fact o' life for a quarter-century, it's strange to think of life without them!  I remember back in 1987 when the network was just front-loading the "Oprah Winfrey Show"* with endless celebratory promos.  It was like, you haven't heard of Oprah Winfrey?  Well, you should have.  You're behind times if you haven't.  Of course, few people outside of her Cincinnati market had, but by the fall of '87, anybody who turned a TV set heard of her!  And that's the way it went.  I remember watching Oprah with my sister in the early years.  My sister luuuuuved that woman!  I was like, meh, she's pretty good at what she does, but daytime TV talk isn't really my thing.  I thought she was trying to be a black female Phil Donahue.  I never considered she could be ten time bigger than Phil.  Just didn't cross my mind!

I don't care what anybody says her show was my childhood. Even though I didn't watch it much, it's gonna be weird not seeing it on at 3 pm after a long day at school.
