During a very shaky acceptance speech by Taylor Swift, Kanye takes the microphone away to mention how Beyonce had the best video of the year, and then we see Taylor just standing there in shock unable to even continue.  Her moment in the spotlight is totally usurped by this jerk, who seems to think his opinion is worth anything to begin with.

A few things:

1. You are right.  Beyonce ruled for what she did.  I can't even imagine how she felt when Kanye spoke "on her behalf".  She probably felt about as humiliated as Taylor Swift did.

2. I have no idea what Ms. Swift's music sounds like, but she completely had her moment ruined.

3. As was pointed out in a gossip blog, if Pink had won the award instead of Taylor, Kanye wouldn't have done that because Pink would have kicked his ass (she's already pretty pissed about it, according to her Twitter).

4.  At first I thought it was staged, given the other shizz that happens every year at this awards show.  MTV is claiming that it wasn't, and I guess it is true because they threw him out after it happened.  HOWEVER....if this turns out to have been staged in any way, it was in poor taste and the person who thought of it should be tossed out on his ear.

5. Did anyone read his "apology"?  It was the biggest load of insincere crap that I have ever laid eyes on.

I can't stand that guy! First, he said that Bush didn't do anything about Katrina (Talk to Nagin about it, Kanye), Second, he punches a cameraman and says that there aren't any cops, and now this?

West is a Middle-Class American and does HE care about anyone?

I have never liked Kanye West...or his so-called music!  I had to ask a music store attendant to turn down the sound when I was in the store one day with my children. I didn't expect the level of swearing to be played aloud....

Anyway...this stunt doesn't surprise me too much. He is narcissistic and thinks people actually care what he has to say ...perhaps he believes we all need to hear his voice (after all..he was chosen by God and all) ...  I'm guessing he would be a big twitter devotee...

He does seem like an ass, and it was an awful thing to have happen to you, BUT it's the MTV video awards for goodness sake.  They almost always have some sort of controversy JUST to get people to watch it.  I wouldn't be surprised if it were a bit of a set-up from somebody over at MTV.

If it were the Grammys or the Academy Awards (even though the Academy Awards have been interrupted as well by streakers (at least we have THAT to be thankful for (that Kanye didn't streak during Taylor's acceptance speech), I just think Kanye don't really care because even though it's bad publicity... ANY publicity is GOOD for your career.  If that makes sense at all.
