What part of the 2000s music you think is good?
The R&B is not bad in the late 2000s, but it was not as good as it was 1990s, but it is still good. I like Trey Songz, Mario, and Bobby Valentino. Omarion is good, but Usher sucks.
Country is listenable and rock music is way better...1990s did really bad country song and the rock did suck in the 1990s.

I am following Drum N Bass, which I think is a 2000's phenomena.
Honestly, I can't into rap or R&B of the 2000s. I highly disagree with Rock sucking in the 90's, but I guess it depends how you grew up and all.

Most music in the 2000s is good, however I cannot stand heavy metal or dance music without lyrics. Songs in the chart that I like at the moment are by artists such as Black Eyed Peas (Boom Boom Pow), Lady GaGa (Paparazzi), Cascada (Evacuate The Dancefloor - very Lady GaGa-like), The Noisettes (Never Forget You), Jordin Sparks (Battlefield) and Take That (Said It All).

I really like the dance music that came out from about 1999 - early '03. Really good stuff and a big improvement of dance music from the 90's, IMO.

I can't think of any music I really like. Aside from "Invincible" by "You Know Who" and "Yeah" by Usher. And I only like "Yeah" because they played it till it BLED while I was in high school.
I like LAdy Gaga but more for the kinds of cool clothes she wears than her singing. Though "Poker Face" is pretty choice. And I like a few choice cuts from Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken.
Gosh, I only like a hanful of people. :(

^ Fine exports from Canada. Their song 'Needy Girl' gained wide exposure when it was used in commercials for Reese Cups. The keyboards on that album cover still make me chuckle lol

It was ok up to 2004 with the likes eminem at his peak. Ever since then it's been mostly sheesh though with the exception of some good indie stuff.
80s totally owns everything though.

Well I'm not going to offer my list because I don't pick the "cool" groups. But there has been the occasional song I liked and collected via MP3. There has been a number of good groups and songs that has come out of this decade. But I agree with the general notion that the industry has probably crowded out a lot of innovation and artistry in order to push a cheap prepackaged product they feel will make more money.

To be honest, I see very little hope for mainstream music the next decade also.
