I don't have anything against Miley Cyrus...but I have to admit that I think it's kinda funny.  I'm sure that Jamie Foxx wasn't serious and was sort of applauding the fact that she hasn't done that stuff...in a roundabout way.  That's how I took it anyway.  *shrugs*

I don't have anything against Miley Cyrus...but I have to admit that I think it's kinda funny.  I'm sure that Jamie Foxx wasn't serious and was sort of applauding the fact that she hasn't done that stuff...in a roundabout way.  That's how I took it anyway.  *shrugs*
i'm with you, i sorta thought it was funny. i mean miley cyrus is sorta a dork -- i mean, threatening to ruin radiohead's career because they wouldn't "hang out with you"? and the thing is, they didn't even really give the background, but from what i heard radiohead was actually pretty polite, they were like, we appreciate your interest but we really have to prepare for this show we're doing in a few hours. and they do, they dont dick around and lip-sync like miley, they actually have a pretty goddam inspiring, complicated show. so i buy that. and then miley flew into full-blown entitled-princess mode and started talking about ruining their careers! plus, what are obviously intelligent 30-something guys gonna get from conversation with a 15-year-old girl who does puffstuff for disney? it just doesn't make any sense. so basically, miley, for that you've got a few chlyamydia jokes coming your way and that's just how it's gotta be.

I don't think a few harmless laughs at the expense of a spoiled rich girl deserves the entitlement of "douchebag".  Saturday Night Live has been making humorous cracks at the expense of celebrities for close to 40 years now, and to call anyone other than Phil Hartman's wife a douchebag, would be unfair.

I can understand straight up insults, as well as rumors and lies offending and upsetting people, but jokes and wisecracks in the intention of laughter, not hurt, shouldn't be taken so seriously.

Of course I say this with a grain of salt as I voiced my intolerance for a "Swim Team of 1912" shirt I saw Yesterday mocking the 1,500 people who either drowned or froze to death on the Titanic that fateful night almost 100 years ago. 

The truth is, we're all victims of the douchebag virus, and there's no escaping it. America is in the midst of an epidemic of douchiness.

a part of the story that got left out is, jamie foxx had to come out the next day and apologize. you just know disney's people called jamie's people and some phrase not unlike "sleepin' with the fishies" was mentioned.
