This is why it was changed to "If U See Amy" on the radio, though that only makes it slightly harder for someone to figure out the meaning. There's also a line later in the song "if u seek amy tonight, we'll do whatever you like". ;D I didn't figure this out till I googled the song and saw articles about "controversy" and now it's painfully obviously, even the video rubs it in for crying out loud lol.

Hmmm... I guess because we listen to Sirius we get the unedited version. And of course, because I never pay attention to her or any of the other pop queens, I never knew. It's funny though that little girls are running around singing this song without knowing the meaning. Bizarre really.

No different than April Wine's 1982 favourite 'If You See Kay'.  Or what about the current chart hit 'Jizz in My Pants' by The Lonely Island?  It's actually rising up the chart along with Britney's 'If You Seek Amy' :o

I think back to the 80s with 'Sex (I'm A ...)' by Berlin or the great 'Boom Boom (Let's Go Back to My Room)' by Paul Lekakis.  Don't remember if those were ever banned, but I can tell you they got massive radio play up here.  Sex sells, and controversial songs sell even better.  If the public can't have it, they want it even more
