Subject: The final episode of ER

We in the UK have to wait a month to view it, but can the folks of the US inform us how the episode went without spoiling it?

Not having watched it in years and missing half of the first hour, I can STILL recommend it. I'm afraid to do any re-caps for fear of spoiling it for you. I'll leave it to the pros. But, really, if you get a chance, you should watch it.

Philip - the most I can say without spoiling it is what I said to Q in a PM:
Brilliant show with a brilliant ending. Perfect!
So many things come full circle. And you can see the emotion in all of the actors eyes. Yep, it was Brilliant. 8)

Whatever you do, Philip, don't go to LTE. Well, at least for the posts on April 2nd. Or from this morning. I noted a couple of things about it... There's quite a few pages since then, but I didn't realize there was live blogging going on during the show, that's why I asked the next day in Miscellaneous. I don't know if the other gals saw the 1 hour show before the actual 2 hour series finale, but it's GREAT. Almost as good as having the originals back for a show.
Some originals came back, some loose ends got tied up nicely, lots of sentimental stuff. Just bring a hankie. Ok, maybe a man wouldn't need one... :)

Like I told Tam and statsqueen. I was sad it was over but it did come full circle and I was fully ready to take the ride all over again. I plan to watch all the seasons as soon as the final season is released on DVD.

I would have live blogged it but I couldn't allow myself to be distracted from a moment of it...

You don't have to wait.... :)
If you can watch episode 1519, with Doug and Carol, it's great-it has a couple of direct tie ins to the final episode, so it will be even more bittersweet!
Episodes 1520 and 1521 are good too, but you can skip them if you don't need to see them.
The retrospective is 1522. I highly recommend it if you're a longtime fan. I cried throughout the whole thing!!! It will also help make a couple of connections to the final episode for you, if you haven't seen it in a few years.
1523 is called "...And In The End..." It made me think of the Beatles, and that song says it all. Just seeing the title made me cry!!!

I think because Philps in England he can't watch some of the shows online like we can.... I had this come up once before when I wanted someone out of the country to watch something at ABC.com

In a similar vein, I can watch the BBC TV prograrmmes online and I do know for sure that these cannot be watch abroad.

It is a shame that Michael Crichton was not around to see the final episode of his popular series :\'(
It was a good ending though. A fine farewell to the BEST medical drama since 'St. Elsewhere'
I loved the part where Godzilla came and ate George Clooney. (Just messin' with ya Phillip LOL)

Funny you mention that. I was going to post that the show ended with Doug Ross comming home and showing that he was really a taxi driver. Then his father (played by Elliot Gould) would greet him, talking about his day at the library with his friend, Flynn Carsen.
It would end with his autistic son throwing a snow globe with a miniture County General Hospital through the television screen.
