Anyone else feel that the 2000s have sucked thus far? I mean as far as pop culture and politics. Rap, War, the death of MTV, Bush Administration, etc.

I think this is discussed often. The 00's are very bland and people are not allowed to think for themselves anymore - or at least we are getting there fast.
But don't worry, we are past due for a cultural rebellion. So hopefully the 2010's willl be wild, crazy, and fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Musicwise, there are/were alot of great songs this decade, but from a North American perspective, if you only listen to what's on the radio, then yeah, music of the 2000s sucks ass

I don't know, it's been a weird 10 years. I liked a lot of the music for a while actually, though since 2005 it hasn't been the same but first half 2000s music I think it was generally quite good. The state of the world has been pretty terrible. The best remembered times of the 2000s will be probably the middle part for many, post 9/11 and before this economic collapse.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, unless we get an unlikely economic miracle to close above 11,400 this year, will be the first decade since the 1930s in which the Dow will be DOWN FOR THE DECADE. :(

Rap and the Bush Administration started in the 80's, along with Reaganomics and the Yuppie Culture.
