Subject: Erik Estrada Becomes A Real Policeman
Written By: Indy Gent on 12/05/08 at 12:21 am
The former star of "CHiPs" has become Muncie, Indiana's newset police officer, no joke! He had hosted a short-lived reality show there called "Armed & Famous", which was set in Muncie's police headquarters. So he has a history there. Here a video.

He's a bit past his prime for patrolman duties. Maybe he can walk the beat at the food court while he signs autographs for the kids...well, more like guys my age who watched CHiPs as kids!
:D

I admit I watched a couple of episodes (it sure didn't last long), but ONLY because my co-worker's sister worked there. It was lame.
Only Indiana would go that far (sorry IndyGent). ::)

I loved him on CHiPs, but given all his fame (LOL), he's way too recognizable to be taken seriously as a cop
Especially after the CHiPs spoof he did on an episode of 'According to Jim' LOL

No offense taken, statsqueen. Actually, a lotta states would go this far, and have with celebrities. I would question Erik's credentials and his decision to pick Muncie (other than the fact he was on a reality show filmed there). I haven't been in Muncie since they kicked me out of Ball State (okay, I've drove by there last June :-
