US illusionist David Blaine has begun another endurance challenge - hanging upside down for almost three days.
The 35-year-old magician was hoisted by his heels over the Wollmann ice rink in New York on Monday.
He intends to remain there until late Wednesday, despite doctors' concern about the effect of the stress on his internal organs and blood circulation.
Blaine said he was "doing all right" on Monday, though he did admit his head felt like it was "about to explode".
His previous stunts include spending 72 hours encased in ice, seven days underwater and 44 days without food in a glass box.
Blaine is suspended from a four-storey high metal frame, though he can be lowered to speak to fans face to face.

If you read the link Philip proveded it does say that he will be able to lift himself to the horizontal position at intervals. Maybe that's what was in the article?

I think if his head did explode the applause would be deafening. Blaine is mystical or brave, he's just a silly arse!

I LOVE David Blaine. I think he's a great illusionist/stuntman and I mean you have to be a little crazy to do some of the stuff he does. Just bloody amazing is what I think he is. I still love the stunt where he lived in the glass box. That took moxie.
And he's cute too--y'know when he's right side up.

"David Blaine: Dive of Death" starts in about ten minutes on ABC. I'd like to watch it but that's one of the channles our aerial only picks up intermitently. :-\\

So someone is really falling for this 'illusion'?
Iquestion..is the bag he is in CLEAR to know he is ACTUALLY the one in it?
On magicians exposed, HIS LAST STUNT OF LIVING IN ICE...They recreated what they feel he did...so as we know, he is an illusionist, nothing magic about him.

Always some drama conn ected with 'stunts' correct? Underwater-holding breath trick..could drown...Saw a lady in half...she dies.
