Last week Metallica issued a statement about allowing people to download exclusive content from their new album on the Internet. This almost makes them seem like they were starting to come to grips with the whole music on the web thing.
Then they held a listening party for some music journalists, and the band's lawyers respond to the reviews they wrote with take down notices. Way to go Lars! The new album should probably be called Hypocrisy.

::) This doesn't surprise me at all. They have lost the plot and IMO are no longer relevant. I'm almost embarrased for them. They need to hang it up.

guess they couldn't sell enough commercially. When they originally instituted the lawsuit and opened up thsat can of worms, my thought was they should be glad someone is listening to thier music. But I have never really been a fan 8-P
