This is a current new song by an Aussie band called "Faker".
They are a 5 piece band from Sydney and recorded this album in America.

Try the name "thirsty merc" on youtube and see how many songs you come up with.
theyve had about 5 or 6 hits over the last 18 months.

One of my favourite Aussie bands of today are Rogue Traders. Their song Don't You Wanna Feel off their most recent (2007) album was just a fantastic song. For those who don't know beyond 'Voodoo Child' and 'Watching You', I urge you to listen further. Their 2007 album 'Better in the Dark' is a wonderful piece of rock 8)

To be fair I really cannot stand the Rogue Traders, they are rip off merchants.
They take other peoples songs and make a hit out of them.
I know other people do cover versions but to me thats ok, even though their versions might be crap, at least they arent taking one part and reproducing it with different lyrics.
Its not an original and not a cover, I dont what it is but to me its just not right in music.

It's sampling. Lots of artists to it. Rogue Traders fit into the Electronica category which is a form of dance music and a good majority of dance songs are built around samples of other songs :)
