I also found another website that tells you how many mg of caffeine are in each drink that you consume. It is Energy Feind. Surprised the heck out of me when I compared the drinks that we consume in my household.

I"m not.  I have a caffeinated coffee about twice a week and limit myself to decaf the rest of the time.


but for purely vain reasons.  your skin looks better without all that stuff.

I'm not at all. I hardly ever drink coffee (only on occasions)..and I hardly drink pop/soda..I try to stick to water.

I confess ! I'm addicted to both this site .... and alcohol ! It is a worry (the latter). Something I need to deal with.



As for coffee ... well I COULD cut that one out ... but 2 or 3 a day (my intake)  .... don't think that's any big deal personally.

I thought I was addicted to caffeine, but for the past week and a half I've tried to cut it out totally because of a test coming up tomorrow in which (apparently) caffeine will make it more uncomfortable for me.  I'm all about comfort baby.  I've been doing well with water.  I started drinking green tea thinking it wouldn't have any caffeine in it, then I called the number on the back of the bottle.  Ha!  It does have it.  oh well..  :-\\

  I used to be, I've had to cut waaay down on caffeine.  It may not mix well with many perscription drugs, if you happen to be on them.  I switched to trileptal for seizures last year and doc says NO CAFFEINE although I'm not sure why.  I like to sneak-in a starbucks every now and then but not like I used to...

A simple answer-Yes, but in the form of tea, not coffee. Never acquired a taste for coffee and I never cared for carbonation which is why I had never been big on soda. But tea-I average about 4 or 5 cups a day. A few weeks ago, I decided to try to cut down on the caffeine and bought some decaf. Unfortunately, it tasted kind of strange to me. But, the other day, I gave it a shot again and had a cup but it didn't taste as bad as it did the first time. So, maybe I will try it again.

And there is me - the Pepsi-holic!!!

Another thing to take into consideration as to why you had the "withdrawal" headache was probably not a withdrawal from the caffeine as it was a withdrawal from the sugar or specifically the high fructose corn syrup that all sodas are loaded with-which is worse in my book that if you have coffee or tea loaded with those little packets of REAL sugar. For the record, I don't use sugar in my tea-the only thing I like in my tea is water and a tea bag.

When I was in the hospital for a week (about a year and a half ago), I asked mom to get some coffee (not for me to drink, but just for me to sniff) and I'm not really even a coffee drinker per se.  She thought it was funny that after only having liquids for a week the one thing I wanted was to sniff her coffee.  /end ramble

That's 48 Dews that were going to waste...he remembered that I drank Dew but not that I gave it up... he brought them in for me as a gift....now how could I look that gift horse in the mouth.... my addiction is worse than it's ever been... I had 7 yesterday because of my road trip...left at 8 am got home at 3 am.... 11 hours of the day I was on the road....two of the dews were consumed while I wasn't driving.

Hmm, I do drink 4 or 5 mugs of tea a day.I don't like coffee and never drink it. I drink diet pepsi/coke maybe 3 times a week so I guess I'm a a mild addict. Nothing beats a cup of tea first thing in the morning.
