Drug companies are blaming people flushing meds. So if you drink a glass of water and feel a bit light-headed it could just be the mood-stabilizers.

At any given time about 1/3 of the population is on some form of psychotrophic medication, mostly antidepressants and anxiolytics. Not 100% of these chemicals get metabolized. It's not from people flushing the tablets themselves, it's from peeps peeing 'em into the water table. I make my contribution every day!
:D

'People take pills. Their bodies absorb some of the medication, but the rest of it passes through and is flushed down the toilet. The wastewater is treated before it is discharged into reservoirs, rivers or lakes. Then, some of the water is cleansed again at drinking water treatment plants and piped to consumers. But most treatments do not remove all drug residue'"
Sounds lovely doesn't it.

I hated being on medication when it WAS prescribed. A lot of good telling doctors to take me off of it does. I should have just said I'll save money for co-pay and just drink water. ;D
