To my knowledge, since Pop Idol began the wave of singing talent shows, none of the UK winners have broken the North American market ... that is until now. Leona Lewis has risen to #31 in Canada with 'Bleeding Love'. I wonder if it will rise to #1?

With 17 weeks in the UK charts and spent 6 weeks at #1, it stands a good chance.

She's definitely becoming known here in the United States, I'm thinking Bleeding Love is going to be a big hit here, I think it just debuted last week. I really like that song.
