This only goes to prove you can be anyone on Facebook (or maybe even myspace) if you're willing to do some time.

I wonder "why?". Why create the account? Did he do it for satirical reasons, was he delusional, supremely bored, etc. ? We'll probably never know the answer.

I wrote a short story about something like that a couple of years ago about someone using a blog pretending to be a prince of a made up country.  The story is lost now.

Don't think it was for satirical reasons.  He probably thought he could get away with it.  Who really checks all profiles on either Facebook or Myspace for accuracy anyway?
