Subject: M. Knight's The Happening

Written By: 80sTrivMeister on 02/17/08 at 11:22 am

The trailer for M. Knight Shyamalan's new apocalyptic thriller The Happening has been officially released, and it looks quite intriguing. After a couple of thundering duds (2004's The Village and 2006's The Lady in the Water), M. Knight really needs a big commercial and critical hit to redeem himself, and this film looks like it has good potential. Starring Mark Wahlberg, the film follows a small group of survivors trying to make sense out of a mass human extinction event around the globe. You can watch the trailer on YouTube:

I saw the trailer for this when I went to see '88 Minutes'. It looks like a great movie.  And knowing M. Night's previous works, the ending will probably be a big shocker.  I can hardly wait! 8)
