Subject: Paris Hilton made a movie
Written By: MaxwellSmart on 02/16/08 at 9:20 pm
Nooooo!!! Not that kind of a movie! Not this time anyway.
"The Hottie and the Nottie" stars Paris as Cristabelle Abbott, who is hot, and Christine Lakin as June Phigg, who is not hot, and...like, whatever.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0804492/
I did not hear of this movie until Keith Olbermann did a segment on it remarking on how it grossed onl $25,000 it's opening week. That's right, not 25 million but 25 thousand, which is about what Paris' dividends net in an hour!
I mean, don't you have try to earn that little at the box office nowadays? Was there a clause in the distribution contract saying cinemas could only sell five tickets a day? Between drunks and people who bought the wrong ticket, Hottie would STILL exceed 25 grand the opening week!
:D

Its too bad that Rick Salamon didn't direct this film cause it woulda grossed a fortune.

She already has been in a few movies: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0385296/
And the biggest question is why do we care?
And if she can act, there is a bridge in Brooklyn I will sell ya, too.

she's not as bad as you think. she exhibits basic competence as an actress. after all, that richards gene is swimmin around somewhere under all that sluttiness.
dont get me wrong, she aint great, but she's capable of basic line delivery and stuff.

I saw the version of House of Wax that she was in. I'm trying to forget that experience. :P

"Exhibits" the operative word here!
:P

"Line delivery" if we're talking snow, you know, Peruvian marching powder; Andean dancing dust; nose candy; booger sugar...
But you're biased 'cos she's related to Kim Richards, so that means she's sorta related to you too!
:D

She already has a fortune and she's already gross.

Really? Kim is related to her-and she admits it?
She's gonna break a nail doing stuff like that.
The horror, the horror.

I don't think Kim brags about it. She's probably one of those "family issues" they don't like to talk about.
Not only does she risk breaking a nail, but anything weighing more than a pound would cause muscle damage in her case.

Paris Hilton has no talent.
I thought any movie she makes would go the way of her first film:
STRAIGHT-TO-VIDEO! :D

Per my first post, it DIDN'T go straight to video...her next one will, though...unless she goes to work for John Waters!

John Water's would consider her too shallow. Besides she can't act!!!!

i'm gonna find the part of the KR interview where she mentions paris. it had something to do with a plumber, as i recall.

I'm trying to keep an open and perhaps clean mind about this. Particularly since it is coming from Kim.

C'mon, with a little coaching, she'd be just his kinda gal. She can take over for Mink Stoll!

I suppose you're right. Mink Stol is getting older. They do both have that mangy blond druggie persona.

I was thinking about Patty Hearst who, as a Waters troupe auxilliary, took roles in Cry-Baby, Serial Mom, Pecker, Cecil B. Demented, and A Dirty Shame. Back in the '70s "Patty Hearst" was the punchline of a thousand cheap jokes. When you can't beat 'em, join 'em! However, unlike Paris, Patty's a smart woman...and something bad actually happened to her.
