Subject: Fantasy Music Videos...
Written By: Davester on 02/05/08 at 2:05 am
I've always had this thing where, when jamming with headphones on, I will automatically, sometimes unconsciously, visualize a video to go with the song. The video will have nothing to do with the song's actual video (if it has one). It will usually have a personal spin on it. I won't take part in the video and most of the time it will have no people in it at all, including the band members. One of my fantasies, growing up, was to produce music videos for MTV. Stupid... ::)
"The Fly" by U2 has always provided me with strong visuals as have "Jesus Built My Hotrod" by Ministry and "Lessons in Love" by Level 42. Doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason. Some songs just elicit strong images in my mind when I lay back and really listen to the song as opposed to just background music...
The old imagination is alive and well, I just wish I had the technical know-how to bring these visualizations to life on video. Nowadays that's definately do-able. I'm going to attempt to make something, somehow. Should be fun groove ;) on...
BTW, I think "Lemon" and "Numb" by U2 are excellent videos despite featuring the band members...

Can you guys see these vids? For some reason I can't...
