Subject: Ja Rule makes anti-gay remark

Written By: xSiouXBoIx on 09/15/07 at 8:54 am

“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.

“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.

“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

it's like everytime a gay couple is seen anywhere, they're "promoting" homosexuality  ::).

i don't see how seeing a gay couple making out is really any worse than seeing a straight couple making out. it's not like if children see a gay couple, they're gonna turn gay, but if they see a straight couple, they're gonna be straight. he doesn't know anything about anything.....it frustrates me SO MUCH how people think we're "screwing up" America, or trying to warp kids' minds  >:( >:( >:(. it's like the reason i'm gay is because i saw a gay couple when i was young and impressionable  >:(.....

and it's so ironic how he's complaining about how this is screwing up America, while his lyrics are all about crime and drugs, and are full of profanity. he's gloryfying violence  ::).

and i don't want to bring up the race card, but how come these rappers and raggae artists can say as many homophobic things as they want, and only the gays will care, but when a white person like Anne Coulter or Jerry Lewis (who i don't think is really homophobic) says the "f-word", there's a big uprorar?

i used to think that the black community would be more accepting of gays since they too were/are prejudiced against, but i've found that that doesn't seem to be true.

Karma +1.

I wasn't familiar with Ja Rule's lyrics, so I did a Google search and found a few songs. I can't post them here because they would break the spell check feature. I feel dumber having read them.

Ja Rule sucks anyway.  He's got such a deep voice, it sounds like someone punched him in the stomach

;D

This is from 50 Cent

“I ain’t into ******s. I don’t like gay people around me, because I’m not comfortable with what their thoughts are,” 50 Cent told Playboy. “I’m not prejudiced. I just don’t go with gay people and kick it — we don’t have that much in common. I’d rather hang out with a straight dude. But women who like women, that’s cool."

like all gay people like the same things, so he knows he has nothing in common with them  >:(.

Who the hell cares about him anymore? He's just a washed up rapper trying to make controversy.

Ja Rule's fame musically was from 2000-2002/early 2003 but after that he hasn;t been really in the spotlight that much so who really cares about what Ja Rule has to say anymore.

My understanding is that gayness is even less accepted in the black community than it is in other racial groups.  So you have the situation where some married black men go out and have homosexual sex "on the down low"... keeping it opn the Q.T.  And in many cases rationalize that they are not really "gay" because, after all, they are married to a woman.

Apparently this is one of the leading causes of the spread of AIDS amongst the black community.

Above not intended as a racial slur of any type.  I've heard this phenomenon on TV as well as in print.

It's a fair observation.  I've noticed the same thing.
I remember when Run-DMC called Boy George a "homo-assed drug-taker."
::)

Ja Rule is no more obnoxious than Jay-Z crying his little bitchazz off 'cos he didn't win at the MTV music awards.
"Come on man, give a n*gg*r a chance!"
And then there was Britney getting up there all skanked out, drunk, and high.
Our entertainment superstars act like socially retarded 15-year-old delinquents and we continue to buy their products.  Says something about us too!

It's odd but true.
I first noticed it about 10 years ago. At first it was gays distrust of the "black community" then gradually I came to see why.
There seems to be a backlash starting though, look at Grey's Anatomy's Isaiah Washington and what happened after his Jan.2007, Golden Globes anti-gay slur.

Can't we all just get along?

Some gay men have flirted with me(while one was really lewd, the others weren't). I was annoyed by it after it happened several times, but don't hate any of them based on those occurances(never hated the gay crowd to begin with).

Sounds like another case of superstars being an attention whores to me.
