That's not the first time I school kid got suspended for drawing a gun; that is, drawing an illustration of a gun on a piece of paper, and it won't be the last!

My only complaint is the student couldn't draw a better picture of a gun.  Maybe he could if all the fussing over NCLB compliance led the school to cut art out of the curriculum.

I'm standing in line at the cinema with all the ghetto kids from Holyoke this weekend and there's a GIANT warning sign about "ID required for admittance into R-rated features."  What do you think this is, Pleasantville?  These kids have seen it all by the age of 9, there ain't nothing new they're gonna see in an "R-rated movied."  Our government doesn't much care if these kids have to dodge dope dealers, pimps, and bullets on the way home from school....but we're sure as heck not gonna tolerate their minds getting corrupted by a motion picture with f-bombs and a pair of bare breasts!
