Personally, I like this choice. I have always liked Drew Carey...thought his show was good...he's funny enough and seems to be able to carry himself well as a game show host.  :)

I like Drew Carey.  I like TPIR, but I never would have thought of him as host.  I hope he can fill Barker's shoes.  I think he will do a pretty good job.  TRIR has been a fixture of TV since the 50s, so the show isn't going anywhere, so Drew has it made 8)

Yes, it's funny because I never even thought of him...when I was thinking about who might make a good host...well, let's just say...at least it wasn't Rosie!! :D

Drew Carey is funny.. in a.. socially acceptable, safe way, so he's a perfect fit. I think he'll be funnier than Barker who.. although I have no issue with the guy.. never struck a chord with me, he was just a generic face.. but yeah, Carey is a great choice.

I just found out about this on AOL News. Maybe he'll do a good job as host; seems like a good choice. After all, he does have some hosting experience, namely on the US version of "Whose Line Is It Anyway", which I enjoy watching. ;D

He's obviously from my neck of the woods so good news, good news for the Cleveland area is generally rare lol. One of the early themes for the Drew Carey Show is "Moon Over Parma" or something, which refers to where I currently live. I was born in the city of Cleveland though.

I don't know about this.  I can't see Carey being as relaxed as Bob Barker.  There is a "please like me" nervousness about Carey, with Barker it was "I know you like me, and I like you to, so let's play this game"

I was actually disappointed when I found out about this; it seemed to me like Carey would be degrading himself as a professional comedian by hosting this half-hour commercial.

The Price Is Right...never understood the popularity of that show.

If Drew can resist the temptation to dip into his blue humor and potty humor, he actually could do well.

Let's hope he does not dirty up "The Price is Right".
