I'm not sure if this was supposed to be "serious" or not, but I sort of see what the OP is saying. You've gotta remember it's not just us reading, and for a new person, I think the constant references could be a little offensive. It can be funny occasionally and within context, but I think it gets to be too much sometimes. Personally I prefer the more serious side of the board. Even the fun stuff I participate in is usually somewhat discussion-oriented.
