They're both consenting adults, so who gives a rat's behind?  Furthermore, how is he "preying" on a young girl?  SHE'S A LEGAL ADULT, FOR GOD'S SAKE.  What is this, Victorian England or something?


Why is it okay for older women to date younger men, but if an older man is with a younger woman, he's a sicko?  Double standards suck.  His age and her age are a complete non-issue and people who want to make it an issue need something else to worry about.

Its a known fact younger women like older men. While the age difference is 19 years the relationship is either gonna work out or its not. Women more mature faster than men so thats why they like older guys I think. I was told women mature faster than men by a girl I used to work with.

Yeah, that's true isn't it (the double standard)?

When I was 18-19 I went out with a 33-year old for awhile. Since then, I've also casually dated some quite a bit older women. And, other than a few lighthearted teasing from my friends and people who knew me, nobody really cared or gave it much thought (these women acted alot younger than their ages anyway). But I knew if the roles were reversed, people wouldn't have been so easy on it, lol.

Not that I agree with it, but I think the reason people sometimes automatically scoff at these generation gap relationships, is because there's still a tendency in society when we hear about "40-year olds", to think of somebody's balding, slob middle-aged dad or something. When, of course, it's usually not like that. And hell, even if it was, it's not like this guy is breaking any laws, as long as she's 18+.

Then again, I've always thought liberally on matters like this - my parents are 16 years apart too (my dad was 40 and my mom only 24 when they got married in 1978, although he seemed younger).
