Subject: The New Releases Thread
Written By: Windbreaker05 on 02/25/07 at 5:15 am
Don't know if this is a good idea or not, but one way to find out...
I thought it might be cool to have a thread to tell folks about new releases (of books/CDs/DVDs/whatever) or confirmed future releases that you just purchased/plan on purchasing/don't want to purchase but strike you as interesting/etc.
I'll start the ball rolling with a few CD titles I jotted down as things to consider which will be released in the U.S. in March:
The Fratellis - Costello Music - already released in the UK, this one will be available to Statesiders 13 March
Melissa Manchester - Melissa Manchester - Not actually a new release, but this album sees release on CD for the first time 13 March
Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion - already saw UK release and has spawned the international hit "Grace Kelly" - will hit stores here 27 March
Elliott Yamin - Elliott Yamin - The former American Idol contestant's full length studio album will be released 20 March.
And on another note, I'll be one the ones buying the new Harry Potter book when it comes out.

It's good to see him get a record deal. He has a fantastic voice!

Oh, wow. Nice list. Thanks for that. I wish TV on DVD wasn't so expensive! It would be fun to own some shows.
Thanks! :) I hear ya...there are SO many shows that I would LOVE to have...but they are pretty expensive. I usually go to this used music/movie store near us..you can find them there a lot cheaper...but it adds up. Also...there are some shows that I am surprised haven't been released to DVD yet...one being, "Wonder Years".

I am anxiously awaiting Season 6 of Full House 8)
Depending on which shows you get, they aren't all that expensive. I don't know if it's the same for the US, but in most places around here like Wal-Mart and Best Buy, you can get seasons of shows for between $20-$26 including such greats like Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Roseanne, Dukes of Hazzard, Murphy Brown, Reba, Remmington Steele, to name a few
Alot of new sahows like Las Vegas, All the CSIs, Ghost Whisperer, etc are like atleast $60. Now that's just way too expensive
