Pop newcomer Mika has scored his debut UK number one hit, ending X Factor winner Leona Lewis's reign at the top.
Beirut-born, London-based Mika, who topped the BBC's Sound of 2007 poll earlier this month, has risen two places with his single Grace Kelly.

I viewd the Grace Kelly video and he's pretty good and does remind me somewhat of Freddie Mercury but it makes me wonder if he's going for that look and style or is this just his own natural singing style and just similar to Freddie. either way, he's a hit and either way Freddie was a one of a kind, maybe imitated but never duplicated. 8)

I didn't no. That part was a little odd. Little girl with a Grace Kelly like voice. Somewhat strange

'Grace Kelly' somehow only got to #76 in America :(
In Canada. it's currently at #7. I hope it goes all the way to the top. The album 'Life in Cartoon Motion' debuted in Canada at #2, and it's now at #7

In Canada. it's currently at #7. I hope it goes all the way to the top. The album 'Life in Cartoon Motion' debuted in Canada at #2, and it's now at #7
God's honest truth, Grace Kelly is being played on Radio2 right now.

I can't seem to find info on that. I can tell you though that it debuted in the US chart at #81 on February 7, 07

The Billboard Chart I used for info has only up to #50, I have to subscribe to see more.

With help from WB, I now know that Grace Kelly by Mika has been in the Billboard Charts for 7 weeks.

I LOVE the follow-up 'Relax (Take it Easy)' so much more than 'Grace Kelly'.
In Canada, 'Relax (Take it Easy)' is currently rising in the charts: #24 in the Canadian Hot 100 and at #56 in the SoundScan Airplay chart. The animated video and the Cutting Crew sample adds to it's awesomeness! 8)
