It's very interesting how, depending on when you were born, your dream home may detail.
I agree with how I wanted my home to be (Gen X).

I must have been born in the wrong generation then. A state of the art kitchen is like my first priority. My dream home leans more towards the baby boomers.

My dream home consists of whatever the wife wants, a bed, and a hockey rink/bumper car arena.

I'd say I fit my generation(Y) here because one thing I definitely don't see eye-to-eye with my parents' generation on is color. I've never understood why people prefer plain white so much, especially inside.

I'm really in between I guess, as I'd like a nice entertainment room with a swimming pool yet I also like white colors indoors and state of the art kitchens. I guess this is a part of me being in the XY cusp.

It's easier to work with would be my explanation, I guess.
Yeah, that is a good point. Going with a color or pattern sets a certain tone for the room that you have to work with and white is more neutral.
