Rivers Cuomo says that, for now, Weezer is "done." Cuomo, the band's bespectacled songwriter and frontman, told MTV that while he remains in touch with his bandmates, "we've never mentioned getting together."

"Really, for the moment, we are done," he said. "And I'm not certain we'll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one."

Weezer has released five albums since forming in 1993. The group took a considerable break between 1996's "Pinkerton" and 2001's self-titled disc (typically called "The Green Album"). The band's last release was "Make Believe," in 2005.

The liner notes of that album led to conjecture that it was Weezer's last. They included a quote from a parting soliloquy in Shakespeare's "Tempest," the playwright's last play.

Cuomo, 36, said he has been writing songs, but said, "I don't know what'll happen with these songs

I love Weezer too, but he's said in interviews before that once he got married, that was it.  He wanted to settle down and have a family, which is odd for a rock star to admit.  I think it was his Blender interview where he said that ever since the first album he's been putting money in a bank account for when he has kids.

I know.  I love Make Believe and wished I could have seen them when they came to Atlanta.  I wanted to hear "Hold Me" live.

I liked Weezer aswell, but every band comes to an end (unless you are the rolling stones)

To be honest, I only really liked The Blue Album by them. The other albums (except Make Believe) were alright, but nothing spectacular. Make Believe sucked.

I think they're all right...they're good songwriters and a good band, albeit not one of the most innovative...just not my thing. I do think they've had other good songs besides Buddy Holly, 5*19*86.

You're judging the band based on that song?  I agree it's not their best, but it's not a reason to dislike them either.  They have far better songs that weren't singles.

I love Say It Ain't So.  I have an audio rip from their Philly show on the Make Believe tour and you can't hear Rivers singing because the audience is singing it louder than he is.
