Well, of the 90s/00s, when most well known wacky (As opposed to just violent) cartoons were made.

Cow and Chicken and I.M. Weasel (both of which were obviously made by the same people, they actually had numerous crossovers and stuff) were some wacky cartoons... there are weirder, but they weren't exactly wacky.

South Park.

I just downloaded an ep of Beavis and Butthead and it was possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen!  ;D And people think 'South Park' is bad...The episode, btw, was 'The Great Cornholio' - where Butthead (or was it Beavis) somehow goes crazy from eating a Burrito. Hmmm, makes alot of sense...

I don't recognize alot of the shows on the list, but I went with Bevis and Butthead.  That cartoon is just weird, and often at times, makes no sense  ???

Gotta love that Much Music carried it first!

I went with 'Cow and Chicken'. There was something very dark and perverse about the anally obsessed Red Guy.

Wacky Races, which I remember from my own childhood.

Wacky Races is very tame in comparison to these rather bizarre creations, lol.

However, it is a classic cartoon.

They were wacky for me back then.

Wacky, as in completely off?

I'd say Ren and Stimpy.

of all time, Looney Tunes

Especially from Bob Clampett, who inspired John K. to create "Ren & Stimpy"  8) :D

For those who don't know: Clampett directed "Porky In Wackyland", "A Tale of Two Kitties" (Tweety's debut), "Great Piggy Bank Robbery" (Duck Twacy),  "The Big Snooze" (Bugs Bunny invading Elmer's dream), and more.

Stop.  Do not pass GO.  Do not collect $200.

Get the Loony Tunes Golden Collection (vol 1,2,3, or 4, the 4-DVD set).  These are cartoons from the 50s, but they're truly timeless.

Watch these cartoons.  And every commentary on every disc.

Then watch Ren and Stimpy.

Then re-watch the Spongebob you grew up on.

Then, grasshopper, you will have achieved enlightenment.  Chuck Jones and Bob Clampett were the inspiration for today's great cartoonists.  You can read a post on a message board and believe, or you can see their works and grok their genius in its fullness.  The choice is up to you, and need cost you only the price of a pizza or two.
