Subject: Favorite part of this decade (so far)
Written By: bbigd04 on 05/26/06 at 12:37 am
My favorite part is 2000-2003. I was old enough to really enjoy it and pop culture hadn't completely gone down the toilet yet. By late '03, rap/crunk had completely taken over radio and it just wasn't quite the same anymore. 2004 was ok, 2005 wasn't that bad at least until the fall. 2006 is crappy for the most part, emo has ruined alternative radio, rap is getting worse.

Yeah I liked 2000 as well, I was still kind of a kid then, but I do remember a decent amount of the music, not as much as I would like though.

Every New Years Eve I tell myself that I resolve to make the following the year the best in my life (as pathetic as that sounds)...it was supposed to be 2006, but I guess it'll have to be 2007...

Jan.2000-June 2001. After June things got a little more complicated for me.

The early '00s were definitely better in some ways. It was before the materialism got really out of hand, Six Feet Under was still on the air, people weren't as pretentious, and artists like Tori Amos were still releasing pretty good albums.

I think I'll like the late 00s better for some reason. Better technology, probably better music, just an overall better vibe (I guess it's partly cos I'm not in High School any more).

I might as well I'll have to wait and see what happens in the next couple years.
