This guy got a whole life sentence as a result (means he will never be let out of prison).

McGrady was under the influence of alchohol at the time, but despite having carried out a catalogue of sex offences in the past, the motive for this killing isn't 100% sure.
I have just seen on telly CCTV evidence of McGrady calmly buying a hacksaw from a DIY store to cut up the young girl after he had finished with her - unbelievable.
Yes, like in New Zealand, life does mean a very long sentence. However, in this case, the judge specified that McGrady dies in prison.

A girl here in the Northwest was murdered last month ... what a shame :\'(
